Eating out

There are delightful waterside fish and seafood restaurants at the nearby fishing village of Gumusluk and in Yalikavak, 10 minutes drive, smart bars and restaurants overlook the yacht-filled harbour.

The nearby Arion Hotel, with its private beach and pools, serves good quality meals and drinks in a very attractive setting.

Shopping

There are small local grocery shops close by and for more general shopping, the small Migros supermarket in Yalikavak and on the Bodrum Road a huge, Tesco-owned supermarket, called Kipa, which has a cafeteria serving simple and inexpensive meals that can be eaten in or taken away.

Bodrum (27km away) has a busy shopping area, a colourful bazaar and a weekly farmers' market.

Turgetreis, the Peninsula's second largest town, is about 20 minutes drive away, where there are many bars, cafes, restaurants, a bazaar, chemist and a post office. There is also a huge Saturday market.
